The Senate is scheduled to meet a Federal Government delegation tomorrow to resolve the criticisms trailing the proposed tax reform bills.
The Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, disclosed this during plenary noting that the meeting which would take place at the National Assembly Complex would allow lawmakers led by Minority Leader, Abba Moro have extensive interaction with the government delegation led by Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi before passing the tax reform bills.
Other Senators who will attend the meeting are the Chief Whip, Mohammed Monguno, Adamu Ailero, Seriake Dickson, Titus Zam, Abdullahi Yahaya, Solomon Adeola, Sani Musa and Adetokunbo Abiru.
Subsequently, the Senate leadership directed its Committee on Finance to suspend further action on the proposed tax bill pending the outcome of a high-level meeting with the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF).
