President Bola Tinubu is set to leave France on Monday for Cape Town, South Africa, where he will co-chair the 11th session of the Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission (BNC) with President Cyril Ramaphosa.
The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a statement, noted that Tinubu and Ramaphosa would hold extensive discussions on bilateral, regional, and global issues of mutual interest.
He added that following the commitments made at their meeting in Johannesburg on June 20, 2024, the two leaders would assess the progress achieved since the 10th session of the BNC, held in Abuja from November 29 to December 1, 2021.
The 11th BNC session will include discussions in eight working groups covering political consultations, consular and migration issues, banking and finance, defense and security, manufacturing, social sectors, mines and energy, and trade and investment.
