Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has today handed over the 76 minors arrested over the August #EndBadGovernance protests to their respective parents.
The governor, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Shehu Sagagi, handed over the children to their parents at the Muhammadu Buhari Specialist Hospital where they were accommodated and treated for the various ailments they suffered during their remand.
The governor, who commended President Bola Tinubu for ordering the release of the minors, urged their parents to support the state government in its effort to ensure that the children are educated to enable them to become useful members of society.
“I want to call on parents to complement the government’s efforts towards ensuring these children are properly educated to enable them to contribute towards the development of the state and the country.
