The Super Eagles of Nigeria have returned to Nigeria after a challenging ordeal in Libya.
VEoNewsNg gathered the team landed at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano to refuel before proceeding to Abuja and Lagos.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian government is addressing the mistreatment of the Super Eagles and officials in Libya, summoning the Libyan Chargé d’Affaires in Abuja for an explanation.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, disclosed this after a meeting with Vice President Kashim Shettima at the Presidential Villa on Monday.
The Super Eagles were stranded under difficult conditions in Libya after their flight was diverted, leaving them unable to depart.
Tuggar called the situation “unfortunate” and confirmed that Nigerian officials in Libya are in contact with the team to resolve the issue quickly.
