Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, has assured that the military will soon arrest notorious bandit kingpin, Bello Turji, hiding in the forests of Sokoto and Zamfara.
Speaking at the Nigerian Defence Academy’s 38th-anniversary dinner in Kaduna, General Musa assured that Turji’s capture is imminent.
He acknowledged the significant security challenges in the Northwest but noted that the Armed Forces and other security agencies are making progress.
General Musa highlighted that insecurity is a global issue and requested Nigerians’ understanding as efforts continue.
“We are tracking down Bello Turji. Getting him is just a matter of time,” he stated, adding that security agencies are collaborating to ensure his capture. “He has nowhere to hide.”
