The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has formally declared Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress winner of the Edo Governorship Election.
Announcing the results, Returning Officer, Professor Faruq Kuta said Okpebholo and his running mate, Dennis Idahosa polled 291,667 to defeat Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party and 15 other candidates.
Ighodalo scored a total of 247,274 while Olumide Akpata of Labour Party secured 22,761 votes to come a distant third.
