Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has facilitated the appointment of the chairman of the Oyo State Accord Party, Prince Kolade Ojo, as the Secretary to the Saki West Local Government and the Sole Administrator of Asabari Local Council Development Area.
This move has generated considerable attention within the state’s political circles, as many see it as a reward for Ojo’s support during Makinde’s successful re-election bid in 2023.
Alongside Ojo, other former Accord Party members have also been appointed to key positions across various local governments.
Honourable Shina Peller, who led his supporters to formally join the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in February 2024, commended Makinde’s vision and leadership.
Peller further stated that the inclusion of former Accord Party leaders in Makinde’s government showcases a commitment to unity and sustainable development for the people of Oyo State.
