The Nigerian Senate has promised to include developmental projects for Ekiti State in the next appropriation act.
Deputy Senate President of Nigeria, Barau Jibrin, made the announcement while delivering speech on behalf of the Senate President of Nigeria, Godswill Akpabio, during the 2024 Udiroko Festival in Ado Ekiti.
In his remarks, Jubril praised the festival as cherishable, promising an amount of 25 million naira in support of the udiroko festival.
Jibrin further commended Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s leadership in Ekiti state, and also the Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adejugbe, for his prayers towards the success of the Nigeria guvernment.
He further acknowledged the people of Ekiti for backing Senate Majority Leader, Michael Bamidele, noting his strong leadership roots in the state, lauding him as a capable leader.
