The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) on Monday apprehended a trailer driver involved in a hit-and-run incident at Anthony Oke, heading towards Oshodi.
The driver was driving a Honeywell Flour Truck.
According to the director of the Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department at LASTMA, Taofiq Adebayo, the casualty, who sustained serious injuries, including a broken left leg, received immediate attention from personnel of the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS) and was transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.
He said LASTMA officials on duty swiftly responded to the situation, pursuing and apprehending the fleeing driver at Oshodi.
The driver has since been handed over to officers at Mosafejo Police Station for further investigation and prosecution.
