The Labour Party in Ondo has dismissed claims by Secretary General of the Yoruba Socio-Political Group, Afenifere, Olusola Ebiseni that he is the Governorship candidate of the party in the forthcoming November 16 governorship election in the state.
The party in a statement by the National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh insisted that Dr Ayo Olorunfemi emerged as its flag bearer for the state governorship election after its primaries held in Akure in June.
Ifoh said that Ebiseni who contested for the governorship of the opposition People’s Democratic Party in the state but lost, is yet to relinquish his membership of the party, neither has he formally identified with LP.
He alleged that there was an unholy alliance by Ebiseni and allegedAPC-sponsored NLC to frustrate the party at the polls.
