The Lagos State government has faulted narratives that it sponsored another set of protesters to disrupt the #EndGovernance protests, describing it as laughable and a cheap ploy by unpatriotic persons to promote division.
Commissioner for Information Gbenga Omotosho speaking at Ojota Park on the second day of the demonstrations, wondered by the government will endorse such nefarious venture, by sponsoring hoodlums to unleash mayhem on law abiding citizens.
Omotosho who explained that the government has no plans to impose a curfew or restrict movement of residents, noting that the governor will continue to engage stakeholder in proffering lasting solution to the issues in the state.
Earlier, the commissioner of police in the state, Adegoke Fayoade, has reassured protesters that the force has a mandate to secure lives and properties, ensuring that hoodlums do not hijack the procession.
