The Senate has announced the removal of Senator representing Borno South Mohamed Ali Ndume as Chief Whip.
The decision followed a letter by the All-Progressives Congress asking Ndume to resign from the party and vacate his position as chief whip of the senate.
The APC accused Ndume of making unbecoming remarks against the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
The letter signed by National Chair of the APC; Abdullahi Ganduje, and National Secretary of the Party; Ajibola Basiru subsequently nominated Tahir Monguno, senator representing Borno north, to take Ndume’s place.
