A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered former Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman be remanded in Kuje Prison in Abuja pending the consideration of his bail application.
The Judge issued the order after Mamman was arraigned on a 12-count charge bordering on money laundering offences by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to the tune of N33b and acquisition of properties through proxies.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges when it was read to him.
Recall the arraignment of former minister was stalled earlier today after he collapsed outside the courtroom due to a drop in his blood pressure and had to be resuscitated by the medical personnel of the court.
However, the judge has adjourned till Friday for the hearing of the bail application as it was not filed before Thursday’s session.
