The 2023 African Democratic Congress, ADC, governorship candidate in Lagos State, Funsho Doherty, has instituted a legal action against the Nigerian government over the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road project.
Doherty in a statement explained that the legal action against the Nigerian Government was to enforce compliance with the law on the project.
In a pre-action notice, Doherty said government adherence to law and due process clearly cannot be assumed, adding that it’s the duty of the public to insist on leadership doing the right thing.
The pre-action notice was served on the Attorney General of the Federation, Environmental Protection Agency, and the Bureau of Public Procurement.
