Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar has charged the Nigerian Army to ensure that violent groups do not overwhelm peaceful and law-abiding Nigerians, insisting that Nigerians must be safe in their homes and public places.
Abubakar speaking at the grand finale of the Nigerian Army Celebration held at the 3 Division of the Nigerian Army, Rukuba, Bassa LGA of Plateau State, assured that the Bola Tinubu administration is committed to building a well-equipped, and truly professional army that will remain the pride of the nation.
Earlier in his remarks, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja, said the Nigerian Army has matured and will continue to conduct itself in a manner that reflects committment and professionalism.
