The Lagos State Government, through its Pension Commission, is set to clear the final batch of outstanding Accrued Pension Rights for retired civil servants in the state.
This will occur at the 105th Bond Certificate Presentation scheduled for Thursday, July 4th.
Earlier this year, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the presentation of N3.149 billion to 1,013 retirees pledged his unwavering commitment to the welfare and wellbeing of senior citizens.
Since the inception of the Contributory Pension Scheme, the government has paid no less N138 billion to 34,178 retirees with the Sanwo-Olu administration paying N56.551 billion into the Retirement Savings Accounts of 16,026 retirees across various government sectors.
