The Ondo State High Court in Akure has nullified the 33 Local Government Development Areas created by late Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
Delivering judgment, Justice A.O Adebusuoye said the creation of the LCDAs was unlawful.
He also ruled that it was illegal for the Governor to have signed the Local Government Creation Law 2023 outside the state.
Recall Akeredolu had on Sept. 9, 2023 assented to the bill creating 33 Local Council Development Areas, LCDAs during a ceremony at the governor’s residence in Ibadan, Oyo State.
