The management of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has stated its plan to unveil the complete list of institutions that have submitted their student data to the NELFUND Student Verification System (SVS) portal on June 24, 2024.
The fund made this known in a statement by its Head, Media and Public Relations, Nasir Ayitogo, who stated the fund will release the list of both federal and state-owned institutions to ensure transparency and to encourage due access and participation in the scheme.
He said it was commendable that many federal institutions have already completed the exercise, having been the first wave, adding that the list is for undergraduate applicants and tertiary institutions.
According to him, the process of uploading the data to NELFUND Student Verification System (SVS) is currently ongoing for the state-owned institutions, warning that failure to have this verification would invalidate the application process and disadvantage applicants.
The fund expressed delight in the cooperation it had received from tertiary institutions at both state and federal levels across the nation.
