Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed that the stranded Super Eagles players in Lagos and Abuja have safely landed in Uyo, Akwa Ibom.
In a statement by the director of Communications, Ademola Olajire, defenders Semi Ajayi, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Calvin Bassey, midfielder Frank Onyeka and forward Paul Onuachu were already in the country.
NFF had earlier reported that only 15 players out of the 23 players trained in Uyo on Monday and returned to their camp at Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort, following strike action by the organized labour that halted aviation activities nationwide.
The super eagles will kick off the concluding part of their 2026 world cup qualifiers on Friday, when they take on Bafana Bafana of South Arica in Uyo before travelling to Abijan for the next fixture against Benin Republic.
