
The Nigerian Navy says it will continue to engage stakeholders in the fight against crude oil theft, piracy and other unwholesome acts that cripples’ national economy.
Chief of Naval staff, Vice admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, speaking in commemoration of the 68th year of Nigerian Navy, explained that the Navy under his watch has ensured that Nigeria has been delisted from countries ravaged by pirate, which has opened the nation to foreign investments.
Ogalla also stated that the Navy has invested in the welfare of its personnel, with an agenda to increase accommodation by seventy percent, while also employing sophisticated ammunition, including technology driven equipment to boost the operations of the Navy.
The Naval chief however submitted that the fight against oil theft and piracy can only be won through concise efforts against unemployment, poverty and corruption at every level.
