President Bola Tinubu has commended Dangote Oil and Gas Limited for its recent decision to significantly reduce the price of Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), commonly known as diesel.
The company slashed the price of diesel from N1,650 to N1,000 per liter for purchases of one million liters or more while a discount of N30 per liter is being offered for orders of five million liters and above.
In a statement released by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, the President acknowledged that this price reduction would positively impact the costs of various goods and services across the country and called on Nigerians and businesses to prioritize the nation’s interests during this time.
highlighting the federal government’s 20 percent stake in the Dangote Refinery, Tinubu affirmed that the collaboration between the government and private entities like Dangote is essential for driving economic growth and fostering a prosperous future for Nigeria.
