The presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, in the 2023 general elections, Rabiu Kwankwaso, on Monday evening paid a solidarity visit to the suspended Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi.
Ningi was suspended for three months after he accused his colleagues of padding the 2024 budget with N3.7trn.
Meanwhile, the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) had faulted the Senate for suspending the Senator representing Bauchi Central Senatorial District, Senator Abdul Ningi over his allegation of budget padding, calling on the senate to act with more circumspection and sensitivity in processing criticism of its operations.
The forum expressed support for the suspended senator over his allegation of budget padding and claim that the 2024 budget is unfavourable to the North.
