Several high-profile dignitaries led by President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio were in Isiokpo in Rivers State oito witness the burial of banking mogul Herbert Wigwe, his wife Chizoba, and their son Chizzy who died in a helicopter crash a month ago in the US.
During the burial rites, Rivers State Governor Simnalayi Fubara reflected on the struggles of life, urging attendees, particularly politicians, to strive for a life of lasting impact.

The governor assured that the state government would immortalize Wigwe’s vision by ensuring the completion of the self-named university he had planned.
However, the President of the Senate, Akpabio, offered a different perspective on the essence of life’s challenges, urging Fubara to ‘resign’ if there’s no essence for struggling in life.

While acknowledging that Wigwe’s absence would be deeply felt, Akpabio affirmed that the late banker’s legacies would be duly protected and upheld.
The event was attended by Governors of Lagos, Ogun, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Abia and Rivers, alongside former President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki.
Also at the event were Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, Aliko Dangote, 14th Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi among others.
