Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru has reminded soldiers of the need to prioritise intelligence-driven operations and the protection of civilian population in the execution of military strategies.
He also underscored the need for strategic leadership, partnerships with local communities, international allies and other security agencies in a bid to enhance collective security efforts in the war against terrorism.
Addressing participants of the 2024 senior course 46 counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency in Nigeria (CTCOIN) at the Armed Forces Command And Staff College, Jaji in Kaduna, the minister charged the participants to imbibe excellence and professionalism in discharging their constitutional responsibilities.
The Minister also inspected the facilities for the training and equipping of the first batch of 800 personnel of the special operation force, as well as troops undergoing training at the General Martin Luther Agwai Peacekeeping Centre while at the College.
