One of the biggest phone makers in the world, Apple appears to have cancelled its plans to build electric vehicles (EV) a decade after it was rumoured to be working on the project.
Although Apple has me er acknowledge the project publicly, US media outlets are claiming that many employees from the project will be moved to the iPhone maker’s artificial intelligence (AI) division.
The Apple car team was reportedly years away from producing a fully autonomous vehicle without a steering wheel and pedals.
Apple has declined to comment.
