The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Oyo State has received both non-sensitive and sensitive materials ahead of Saturday’s re-run election in the state.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Rahman Tella, confirmed that the commission has received both non-sensitive and sensitive materials to be used for the election and has deposited it at the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Ibadan branch in the Dugbe area.
Tella said the Commission received six cartons of materials containing ballot papers, result sheets and replacement forms, while explaining that the Commission would use two BVAS machines and two backups for the exercise.
He added that the Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, Hamzat Adebola has promised to deploy 182 police officers for the election.
