Former head of state, General Yakubu Gowon has hailed former President Muhammadu Buhari for overseeing a peaceful transfer of power to his successor President Bola Tinubu whom he described as a true democrat.
Gowon said this during the launching of a book titled working with Buhari, written by the former special adviser to the president on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, stating that the former president has shown his desire to sustain the Nigerian state and upholding the democratic structure for the good of the people.
Gowon also charged President Tinubu to work tirelessly for the success of the Nigerian state, noting that actions and steps taken today will lay foundations for the realities of the future.
