The Presidency has unveiled plans to establish a fishing hub in Benue state, to facilitate trade and empower medium and small scale businesses in the state.
The vice president, Kashim Shettima said this today during the first expanded national MSME clinic initiative, stating that the hub will be completed in 90 days in line with the commercial plans of President Tinubu.
According to him, the Tinubu administration is creating an enabling environment to empower MSMEs with a 75 billion naira 9% single digit loan from the bank of industry allocated to MSMEs among other funds.
Speaking on the commercial strength of the nation, Shettima argued that every region of the nation has what it takes to be financially independent and self-sufficient if available resources are adequately utilized.
The vice president also called on political elites and leaders of Benue state to set aside their differences and embrace peace for the development of the region and Nigeria.
