The house of Representatives has promised that the 2024 budget will be passed on Saturday, December 30, to allow swift implementation.
The speaker of the house, Tajudeen Abbas, said this during plenary, following the resumption of the lawmakers after a brief recess to allow committees to scrutinise the budget estimates.
Abbas however did not reveal the figure finally agreed on as it will have to harmonise its position with the Senate.
Recall, President Tinubu presented a budget of N27.5 trillion to a joint section of the National Assembly on November 29 in Abuja.
