Edo state government has revealed plans to employ technology in the fight against insecurity, unemployment, ease of doing business and service delivery, to improve the lives of residents.
Governor Godwin Obaseki speaking at a security summit today noted that Nigerian government at all levels should optimize technology in different aspects of their operations, hinting that his administration is investing in the use of technology to pioneering changes especially in security.
The governor who also hinted at a comprehensive data base to avail the different agencies ample information on the details of residents, promised that his drive to rid the state of drug abuse and cultism will not dwindle, describing it as a fundamental pursuit of security sanity.
According to the Governor, the state is located in a strategic point in Nigeria, submitting that success in the fight against insecurity, drug abuse and cultism will have ripple effects round the country.
