The Nigeria Customs Service, Murtala Muhammed International Airport Command has returned fake $10, 000 notes over to officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
According to the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Juliana Tomo, the seizure was made from a 41-year-old suspect, Ifeanacho Ugbor who was heading to Brazil, in contravention of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act of Nigeria.
Tomo stated that the suspect was restrained from traveling and detained for further investigation.
The discovery comes two months after the new Customs Area Controller, Charles Orbih, was redeployed from Abia/Imo Area Command to MMIA.
