The Lagos chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has stated that it will review Wednesday’s Appeal Court judgment that affirmed Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the winner of the 2023 governorship elections.

In a press statement issued by the party’s spokesman, MrHakeem Amode, the PDP said it is currently “in the process of reviewing” the appellate court’s judgment, which dismissed the main issues raised by its governorship candidate, Dr. AbdulAzeez Adediran (Jandor).

The Appeal court’s decision was an affirmation of the decision of the election tribunal which had dismissed Jandor’s petition against Governor Sanwo-Olu on September 25.

While refraining from detailed analysis, PDP urged supporters to remain composed, emphasizing their dedication to democracy and inclusivity.

The party also emphasized its belief in the legal process as the appropriate avenue for addressing concerns and expressed unwavering resolve to pursue the case until a just and lawful resolution is reached.

“We retain utmost confidence in the people of Lagos State. Our party is steadfast in serving the populace to the fullest extent should the opportunity arise. Thank you,” concluded the statement signed by Amode, Publicity Secretary of Lagos State PDP.
