The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has cleared the air on the presence of its operatives at Admiralty Way, Lekki, Lagos State.
The agency in a statement today, revealed that the stop-and-search exercise ongoing in the area was to protect residents from the activities of drug dealers and disrupt supply chain of illicit substances.
According to the anti-drug abuse agency, intelligence reveals a chain of drug peddlers in the area which may expose residents to harm.
Earlier, popular comedian Birgton Okpocha, Basket Mouth had raised awareness on the stop and search on Admiralty Way in LEKKI, quizzing the NDLEA on the matter.
