Casemiro will miss Manchester United Premier League clash at Sheffield United on Saturday after picking up an injury, the club have confirmed.
The 31-year-old picked up a ‘small issue’ while on international duty and has remained in Brazil for treatment.
It means that Casemiro is now ruled out of United’s next two matches, with the midfielder having been sent off in the Champions League defeat to Galatasaray, meaning he is suspended for the clash against Copenhagen on Tuesday.
He will be hoping to make his return in the Manchester derby on October 29 as United host Pep Guardiola’s side at Old Trafford.
Casemiro was absent from training today having remained in Brazil, on the club’s advice, but is expected back at Carrington early next week to resume training.’
