The Minister of State for Education, Tanko Sununu says the federal government is committed to affordable education for Nigerians at all level, stating that reports of tuition hike in some tertiary institutions are misunderstood.
Sununu speaking during a televised interview today, insisted that no student is expected to pay tuition fee in any federal institution while noting that other stakeholders must also assist the government to ensure education is readily available and in high standard.
The minister also revealed that the federal government will approach a more relative method in addressing the root causes of perennial and incessant strike which has defaced Nigerian educational curriculum.
He however argued that all policies of the government will hit a brick wall without the support of other stakeholders.
