
The chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), Solomon Arase, has called for partnership with U.S Department of State in the area of training and capacity building for staff of the commission and the Nigeria Police Force.
Arase said this today during a session with visiting Deputy Assistant Secretary, United States Department of State, Tobin J. Bradley, appealing to U.S to assist the Commission in strengthening its Compliance Monitoring Unit, for effectiveness and efficiency of the Police Complaints Response Unit.
Bradley in his remarks commended the commission for efforts to maintain the rule of law through the force, while stating that his office will key into the requests of the Commission.
He said the Department was ready to support Police Colleges in Nigeria such as the Police Academy so that it achieves its objectives.
