The Acting Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun has admitted that enhanced security synergy is required to tackle the evolving security challenges facing our nation.
Egbetokun made the remark, during a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Police Affairs to congratulate and brief the newly appointed Ministers on the internal security situation of the country.
During the visit the police Boss had discussions with the Minister of Police Affairs, Ibrahim Gaidam, and the Minister of State, Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim, addressing critical issues such as the state of national security, ongoing police reforms, and strategies to enhance collaboration between the NPF and the Ministry of Police Affairs.
Geidam subsequently assured the IGP of the Ministry’s unwavering support towards the implementation of key reforms and initiatives.
The IGP emphasized that the visit highlights the undeniable need for collaborative efforts for improved security architecture in the nation and reiterated the importance of creating an enabling environment for officers.
