In line with President Bola Tinubu’s request for speedy screening and confirmation of newly appointed Service Chiefs, the Senate today screened and confirmed Chief of Defence Staff, Major General Christopher Musa and Chief of Army Staff, Major General Taoreed Lagbaja.
Also screened and confirmed today were, Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshall Hassan Abubakar and Acting Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.
In his address, Major General Lagbaja admitted that the Army was in need of new skills that are proactive, adaptive and inclusive in the fight against banditry and terrorism.
He promised that he would bring all on board and justify the confidence reposed in him if confirmed by the Senate.
