President Bola Tinubu has written to the National Assembly, seeking approval for N500 Billion as palliative to cushion the effect of subsidy removal.
The request was read on the floor of the house by Speaker Tajudeen Abbas.
The President explained that the money will be sourced from the 2022 supplementary Appropriation Act of N819. 5 billion.
The Speaker said the House will consider the President’s request tomorrow and asked members that will make contribution to be prepared to do so.
