Vice President, Kashim Shettima says traditional Institutions in the country remain integral to the development of the nation and would maintain that status under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Shettima, said this in Sokoto during a Salah homage to the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar III on Friday. He said the present administration in the country has high regard and respect to traditional leaders in the country.
He said the special visit was directed by the President to convey his Salah greeting and best wishes to the Sultan.
The Vice President added that there was need for Northern leaders to continue to embrace peace and cooperation to combat the myriad of challenges, bedeviling the region.
