The President, Bola Tinubu is not alone in his good wishes for the country as his Vice, Kashim Shettima, has prayed for enduring unity and progress for the country.
Shettima who observed the Eid prayers at the National Eid Ground, Abuja, called on Nigerians to imbibe the virtues of sacrifice and forgiveness which is the essence of the season.
His message was re-echoed by Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, and Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, among other high profile faithful.
After the prayers, Shettima departed Abuja for his home state of Borno, where he was received by Governor Babagana Zulum.
Upon his arrival, Shettima inspected a Guard of Honour mounted by a detachment of the Nigerian Air Force at the Maiduguri Air Force Base and paid a courtesy visit to the Shehu of Borno, Abubakar Sl-Kanemi, at his palace.
