The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited has denied claims that its Group Chief Executive Officer, Mele Kyari, has been sacked by President Bola Tinubu.
Reports on social media on Saturday night claimed Kyari may have been relieved of his duties following the suspension of Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele the previous day.
But in a terse statement, Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPCL, Garba Deen Muhammad, faulted the reports.
According to him, “it is the handiwork of mischief markers.”
